Caroline Ellison
Former CEO of Alameda Research, the trading firm tied to FTX and run by Sam Bankman-Fried. Alameda's collapse — exposed via a leaked balance sheet in November 2022 — triggered FTX's insolvency and bankruptcy.
She was GCR's direct OTC counterparty for his large prediction-market trades on FTX/Alameda, including the Trump 2024 position he built in early-to-mid 2021 ("Person I actually interfaced with was Caroline, and not SBF"). Alameda's leaked balance sheet, disclosed after the collapse, showed the firm was itself effectively on the other side of some of these bets.
